The design is strict, there are no decorative elements, mainly black (sand black in the manufacturer’s terminology) and gray (black titanium) are used. The TV looks neat from both the front and back. The screen has no frames, in the sense that on its monolithic surface there are no overlaid elements that protrude forward beyond the plane, there is only a narrow frame made of aluminum profile.
This profile is anodized and painted gray. The front edge of the profile is chamfered outward, so the appearance of glare is unlikely. The profile is only 14mm wide, but the back case is slightly convex, so the maximum thickness is higher, but the TV still looks thin.
At the very bottom of the screen plane there is a narrow (about 5 mm) strip of plastic. The outer surface of the matrix is mirror-smooth and relatively resistant to damage. A highly effective anti-reflective filter reduces the brightness of reflected objects to such an extent that screen specularity does not interfere with viewing, unless there are very bright point light sources directly in front of the screen.
At the same time, dirt does not greatly reduce the anti-reflective properties.
A small tinted plastic module is attached to the bottom right end. It houses the IR receiver of the remote control, IR emitters, an ambient light sensor, a status indicator and, apparently, a microphone. In addition, on the bottom of the module there is a single control button (using a short menu, you can very limitedly control the TV when the remote control is not available) and a microphone switch.
The indicator is dim, in standby mode it glows red, in normal situations the user does not see it.
Despite the large diagonal, the TV is equipped with a central stand, which will allow you to install the TV on not very wide cabinets. The stand is in two parts
The TV is standing steadily, the rigidity of the stand is sufficient. The TV set, installed on a horizontal surface on a standard stand, stands vertically without visible inclination. subwoofers
Alternative way to install the TV
The rear panel casing is made of black plastic and has a relief in the form of very small horizontal grooves with variable width. The main interface connectors are located in a recess at the back and are directed to the side. It is relatively convenient to connect cables to them.
Next to them is a slot for a CI card adapter, covered with a sticker with instructions for installing that adapter. There is a power connector in a separate small niche. The power cable and cables from the interface connectors can be routed into the grooves on the back of the shroud.
Electronics cooling air flows through the grilles at the bottom of the case and exits through a pair of grilles at the top of the rear panel. The TV is completely passively cooled. Somewhere behind the grilles at the bottom end there are built-in medium-high-frequency loudspeakers. In addition, at the bottom end there are output openings for the horns or bass reflexes of the subwoofers.
In the description, the manufacturer mentions that the TV has a total of six loudspeakers (diagram 4.2).
The TV and everything to it are packed in a strictly designed and strong box made of corrugated cardboard. Side slit handles are made for carrying in the box.
The supplied power cable is black and 1.5 m long. It is equipped with a compact L-shaped plug and connector.
Note the presence in the delivery set of an insulating corner insert for the antenna cable. It will protect the electronics of the TV from high voltage, which happens in the antenna cable due to poorly neutralized connected devices. A side effect of using this insert is some signal attenuation.
The table with characteristics at the beginning of the article gives an idea of the communication capabilities of the TV. All connectors are standard, full-sized and free-spaced. However, a typical cable with a cover on the RJ-45 connector cannot be inserted into the mating socket on the TV; the cover will have to be moved.
At least basic support for HDMI control works: the TV itself switches (and turns on if it was turned off) to the HDMI input when you turn on the player and start the disc for playback. Also, the player turns off when you turn off the TV and turns on when you select the appropriate input on the TV. With some players, HDMI control is expanded
The short manual for the TV does not say much about the peculiarities of the functioning of the inputs; the main source of information is the inscriptions at the connectors. There are no analog inputs and outputs for video and audio signals, there is not even a traditional headphone output. It is assumed that the user will use wireless Bluetooth headphones if necessary.
